Classes
APAC offers classes to help you learn general painting techniques and, specifically, how to paint on porcelain. Cost is $150 for 10 week courses and $180 for 12 week courses.
Classes are held at West Hillhurst Community Association, 1940 – 6th Ave NW, Calgary, AB T2N 0W3
Fees are payable to APAC.

2026 WINTER CLASS: Roland Gissing Study Class starts Friday, January 9 - March 27 from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
This new 12-week class will explore the style of Roland Gissing, a well-known Alberta landscape artist. The original study will be inspired by the artwork of Gissing. You can explore his life and art at https://www.rolandgissing.com.
Cost is $180 for the 12-week course, plus $10 study fee. All are welcome. No art experience is required.
Fall 2025: Texturing Class starts September 12 and runs until November 28, 2025
This new 12-week class features different texturing styles. Choose between four different studies and create your own unique piece of art! All are welcome - no previous art experience is required.

Spring 2025 - Mountain Blue Bird in Spring It’s an 11-week class starting April 4 – June 20. (No class on Good Friday) Fee is $165. This study will require an 8x10 rectangular or 7.5 x 9.5 oval plate/dish/tile. |

Winter 2025 - Winter Barn Scene
This class will teach you how to use a limited pallet: Lavender Blue, Midnight Blue, Coal Black, Ashe Grey, Yellow Red, Violet of Iron, Rich Brown, White Dewdrops (optional), and Silver Pearl Metallic (optional) It runs from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon, January 10 to March 28.
Should you wish to come to Friday classes on a more casual basis, cost is $15 per time. |

Fall 2024 - Midnight Lanterns We start on Friday, the 20th of September. 9:30-12. Cost $180 (payable to APAC) plus $10 study fee (to Instructor Glenda Lenz). |

Winter Classes
The winter session classes will start Friday, January 10, 2025 and run until March 28, 2025.
This 12-week course taught by Glenda Lenz is offered
- Friday Mornings from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM (10 spaces)
Cost is $180 per student; no kiln fee.
Class fees are payable directly to Alberta Porcelain Artists, Calgary.
